Organic Roman Chamomile Hydrosol

Belonging to the Asteraceae family, Roman chamomile is a perennial herbaceous plant with branching stems and aromatic foliage. It is mainly cultivated in Western Europe, notably in France, Belgium, Spain and the United Kingdom.

This plant, usually between 10 and 30 centimeters high, has finely cut leaves of light green color and white flowers with yellow discs, resembling small daisies. The flowers, giving off a sweet, soothing fragrance, usually appear between May and September and are hermaphroditic, bearing both male and female organs.

Roman chamomile hydrosol, also known as Roman chamomile floral water, is obtained by distilling fresh flowers. This clear and colorless liquid has a characteristic, sweet and slightly herbaceous odor.
