Blue chamomile hydrosol
A member of the Asteraceae family, blue chamomile, also known as blue tansy, chamomile, German blue chamomile or Tanacetum annuum, is a perennial herb with finely cut leaves and fragrant foliage.
It produces striking blue flowers, grouped in clusters and resembling small daisies. Blue chamomile is mainly cultivated in the Mediterranean regions, especially in Morocco, where it is renowned for its aromatic and therapeutic properties.
Blue chamomile hydrosol is obtained by steam distillation of freshly picked flowers. It comes in the form of a clear liquid, the color of which varies from colorless to pale blue. The aroma of this hydrosol is sweet, herbaceous and slightly fruity, with subtle undertones reminiscent of chamomile.
Roman chamomile hydrosol
Roman chamomile, a member of the Asteraceae family, is a perennial plant with many branches and a bewitching fragrance. It mainly thrives in Western Europe, including France, Belgium, Spain and the UK.
This plant, which usually reaches a height of 10 to 30 centimeters, has finely cut light green leaves and white flowers with a yellow disk, resembling delicate daisies. The flowers, with a sweet and relaxing scent, appear between May and September and are hermaphroditic, bearing male and female reproductive organs.
Roman chamomile hydrosol, also called Roman chamomile floral water, is extracted by distillation from fresh flowers. This clear, colorless liquid gives off a characteristic fragrance, both sweet and slightly herbaceous.
Fine lavender hydrosol
From the Lamiaceae family, Lavandula angustifolia P. Miller, also called true lavender, fine lavender or officinal lavender, is a perennial sub-shrub with fine, elongated leaves.
It gives rise to flowers varying from blue-violet to light blue, gathered in terminal clusters on long stems. Lavandula angustifolia is mainly cultivated in the Mediterranean regions, in particular in France, Spain, Italy and Bulgaria.
Lavandula angustifolia essential oil is extracted by steam distillation from the freshly harvested flowers. It is characterized by a clear liquid whose color varies between colorless and pale yellow. Its fragrance is sweet, floral and herbaceous, embellished with slightly balsamic notes.
