L-ascorbic acid is the active and natural form of vitamin C, an essential water-soluble vitamin that the human body cannot synthesize. The Quali®-C form is produced using a patented process that guarantees purity and stability.
Vitamin C acts as an enzymatic cofactor in collagen synthesis, participating in the hydroxylation of proline and lysine. Powerful antioxidant, it neutralizes free radicals and regenerates other antioxidants like vitamin E.
Authorized claim: Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of blood vessels, bones, cartilage, gums, skin and teeth. Vitamin C contributes to normal energy metabolism, normal functioning of the nervous system and immune system, helps protect cells from oxidative stress and reduces fatigue.
